Aisha Buhari, the President’s wife, congratulated Bola Tinubu and his wife, Remi, on their victory in the February 25 presidential election.
According to a statement released on Wednesday, the First Lady expressed confidence that Tinubu will lead Nigeria towards the future that the country’s founders envisioned.
She also congratulated Vice-President-Elect Kashim Shettima on his victory in the hotly contested election.
“I also congratulate Senator Oluremi Bola Tinubu, the President-wife, Elect’s the new First Lady, and a grassroots politician. “I have no doubt that Nigerian women would benefit from your reign,” the president said.
