The All Progressives Congress chapter in Osun State has instructed its members to undertake a three-day fast and prayer in order to seek God’s favor for the smooth conduct of the next general elections.
Tajudeen Lawal, the party’s acting state chairman, issued the command in a statement acquired in Osogbo on Tuesday.
Lawal, who stated that the APC understood the significance of fasting and prayer, commanded that “the fasting and prayer session shall begin on Wednesday through Friday, which is the eve of the conduct of the presidential and National Assembly elections.”
He suggested that APC members should pray that “God Almighty accomplish His work which He had begun on the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed.”
He also called on the APC members to pray for crisis-free elections and subsequent victory of all the party’s candidates, adding that their Permanent Voter Cards should be kept safely to enable them partake in the elections.
