Former House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara has declared PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to be the greatest option.
The politician and lawyer shared his thoughts on Twitter on Wednesday night.
Dogara recognized that the former Vice President isn’t flawless, but emphasized that individuals who aren’t ideal are usually given leadership roles.
“I am acutely aware that @atiku is not flawless but remember that throughout history, the responsibility of constructing nations have always fallen on the shoulders of imperfect men & women.
“My sole argument is that the worst among us must not lead the best of us. @atiku is still the finest,”
He used Twitter.
From 2007 to 2019, the 55-year-old Bauchi native represented the federal constituency of Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa.
Dogara left the country.
to the PDP from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, after the presidential candidate Bola Tinubu picked Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
The Muslim-Muslim ticket was opposed by the Christian community in the APC, including Dogara, ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation Government, Babachir Lawal, Senator Elisah Abbo, among others.
