A CCTV video of the Friday night shooting that killed South African rappers Kieran “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane has gone popular on social media.
Remember that AKA and his close buddy, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, were murdered outside a restaurant in the coastal city of Durban on Friday night.
AKA is seen embracing a friend in the video. He shakes hands with his companion before looking back down the street.
He rejoins his group just as a man in a white sweater and hat sprints up to him and fires a gun multiple times.
AKA collapses on the ground while everyone else flees. The shooter dashes across the street.
AKA and Motsoane were declared dead at the scene after the shooting. The pair are thought to have been on their way to a nightclub for a performance as part of the rapper’s birthday celebrations when they were shot. The motive of the killing is being investigated.
