President Buhari Congratulates Tems On Making Grammy History In 2023

President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a statement congratulating Afrobeats singer Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, on her Grammy Award win at the prestigious event in 2023.
On Monday, the President’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, said Buhari was proud of the young singer’s accomplishments, noting that she had thrust Nigeria into the global spotlight for the second time.

Tems made history by winning the Grammy Award for “Best Melodic Rap Performance” on February 5th. She is the first Nigerian woman to accomplish this feat, and the President’s words reflect his pride in her abilities and talents. Buhari also praised Afrobeats artist Burna Boy.
