Benue state government has handed over Makurdi Aper Aku Stadium to a contractor for renovation.
The renovations are being carried out by Moni Michelle Sports.
It is recalled that the State Government, owner of Lobi Stars Football Club, has recently approved the sum of N24m for the upgrade of Aper Aku Stadium with modern facilities.
Lobi Stars played their home games at New Jos Stadium this season after Aper Aku Stadium failed to meet Interim Management Committee (IMC) requirements.
Mohammed Baba Ganaru’s side are expected to return to home before the end of the season. The Lobi Stars are currently top of Group B of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
